- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
- Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands

Full Job Description
Troubadour Golf & Field Club, a distinguished private community situated just outside of Nashville, TN, is actively seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician. Join our dedicated Facilities Department and play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and safety of our club. You will be responsible for the comprehensive upkeep of all building equipment, proactive troubleshooting of issues, and maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all assigned maintenance and repair tasks under the guidance of Facilities and Operations management.
- Continuously monitor the operational status and appropriate usage of all club equipment and systems.
- Perform regular maintenance on all operational buildings, structures, and temporary office trailers.
- Diagnose and resolve a wide range of maintenance issues across the club.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance calls for assistance.
- Proactively identify and report any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or immediate maintenance needs.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding tasks and projects that may impact their services.
- Coordinate utility shutdowns and startups as required by operational conditions.
- Adhere to established procedures for Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Engage with vendors and suppliers to discuss the scope of repair activities and selected products/materials.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with Department Heads, colleagues, members, and guests.
- Uphold all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Assist the Facilities Engineer in the maintenance and repair of fire and life safety systems, room equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, kitchen appliances, refrigeration, pool and pool equipment, lighting, laundry equipment, and other designated systems.
- Manage building checklists to ensure all building assets are serviced and maintained according to schedule.
- Possess a thorough understanding of all property emergency, safety, and disaster plans and procedures.
- Respond with urgency to emergency situations.
- Undertake other assigned duties and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with HVAC and electrical equipment, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
- Proficiency in general maintenance tasks and the use of hand tools, including painting, sanding, basic electrical work, and snow removal.
- Solid understanding of plumbing to address leaks, clogs, and other drainage issues.
- Capability in electrical wiring to manage and resolve building electricity problems.
- Basic carpentry skills for general repairs around the property.
- A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for providing outstanding service to members, guests, and team members.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the understanding that extended hours may be necessary based on business demands.
- Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Capacity to remain calm and focused during peak operational periods.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including working in diverse indoor and outdoor conditions, prolonged periods of standing and walking (over 8 hours), and lifting/carrying items exceeding 50-60 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited technical school or completion of an apprenticeship program.
