Mainframe App Developer - Systems Engineer

AutoZone is seeking a Systems Engineer (Mainframe Application Developer) in India to ensure the integrity and continuity of our systems. This role involves developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe applications, including debugging, coding, testing, and providing production support. Responsibilities include participating in the system's development life cycle, identifying and eliminating inefficient processes, participating in 24/7 on-call rotations, creating and maintaining documentation, and mentoring less experienced engineers. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, experience in the retail industry, and expertise with technologies such as CICS, COBOL II, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and SQL. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
