Lead Teller

KeyBank in Livonia, MI, is seeking a dedicated Lead Teller to elevate client relationships through exceptional service. This role is instrumental in enhancing the client experience by acting as a primary resource for complex servicing issues, managing daily teller operations, and providing valuable coaching to fellow tellers. You will be a key player in fostering a strong client experience culture, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and a positive impact on every client's day. Responsibilities include coaching tellers, resolving intricate client issues, identifying financial wellness opportunities, and transitioning clients to bankers. You will also oversee daily branch teller line duties, including scheduling, performance observation, and providing direction on operational and regulatory procedures. The role requires a commitment to compliance, audit, and security protocols, including accurate cash drawer balancing. A willingness to work Saturdays as directed and assist with onboarding new tellers is essential. Upholding KeyBank's policies, ethical conduct, and acting in the best interest of clients and the company are paramount.

As a Lead Teller in Livonia, Michigan, you will contribute to KeyBank's commitment to serving its communities by embodying a strong client experience culture. You'll be present with every client and teammate, realizing the impact you can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially. You will assume responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions while coaching other tellers in an in-person branch setting. Acting as a resource to identify and resolve more complex client servicing issues will be a key part of your role. You will listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and appropriately transition clients to a Banker. Assisting clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives through the use of financial wellness tools is also important. You will attend and participate in in-person morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs. Following compliance, audit, and security procedures, and balancing your cash drawer within guidelines are critical. You will manage day-to-day duties for the branch teller line, including scheduling of tellers, observing and providing coaching to enhance effectiveness, and overseeing branch operational standards. Providing direction and guidance for branch staff on operational/regulatory procedures is expected. Reviewing and maintaining knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings is essential. You will support the Branch Manager in onboarding and training new Tellers to the team. Working on Saturdays as directed by management is required.
