Full Job Description
KeyBank, a leader in commercial lending, seeks a Lead Servicing Officer - Institutional Real Estate for its Denver, Colorado office. This role is crucial for servicing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, providing comprehensive support and exceptional client service to a sophisticated clientele, including public and private REITs and real estate private equity firms.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting client service for credit and non-credit products within the Real Estate Capital Division.
- Managing all post-closing servicing for a portfolio of medium-complexity loan structures.
- Demonstrating the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-volume setting.
- Providing backup servicing support to team members.
- Offering expertise and assisting Relationship Managers (RMs) and Closers in the pre-closing process, including reviewing loan documents, evaluating funding needs, and attending closing meetings.
- Analyzing and establishing medium-complexity loan and disbursement controls on bank systems, including managing borrowing base availability.
- Establishing and maintaining servicing files, including property additions/releases and letter of credit issuance.
- Identifying and obtaining approvals for loan exceptions.
- Initiating and analyzing standard and custom monitoring requirements such as title/tax updates, insurance, and holdbacks.
- Processing financial and collateral transactions based on customer requests or loan document provisions.
- Analyzing and facilitating rate, commitment, and collateral changes, loan payments, tax and insurance escrows, flood zone monitoring, DDA/Cash management services, and payoff instructions.
- Managing all aspects of DDA Restricted Collateral Accounts, including opening, disbursements, reconciliations, hold level maintenance, and closing.
- Ensuring data integrity within the system of record, including posting transactions, onboarding new loans and collateral, processing modifications and amendments, and maintaining data information.
- Communicating any issues or problems immediately to the Manager and/or RM.
- Collaborating with RMs to deliver superior client service and achieve goals for cash management and off-balance sheet transitions.
- Providing system expertise to RMs and proactively resolving client service and risk management issues.
- Sharing expertise through a deep understanding of client business requirements and loan-related transactions.
- Participating in projects as required.
- Performing other duties as assigned, which may evolve over time.
