KDB Developer - Surveillance Enhancement Program

Join Luxoft in Noida as a KDB Developer to contribute to the Surveillance Enhancement Program (SEP). This multi-year initiative focuses on building and enhancing a sophisticated surveillance platform designed to detect market misconduct, manipulation, and abuse. The program aims to meet and exceed regulatory obligations, including the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and Dodd-Frank, by enhancing alert systems, sourcing strategic data from financial markets order and trade lakes, and improving user interfaces and workflows. You will also be involved in enhancing Control Room Suitability Monitoring data, UI, and scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions using Q/KDB for the backend and Delta Stream Dashboard builder for the UI.
• Conduct data analysis and implement ML/AI-based libraries to solve complex challenges in market abuse surveillance.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts and trade surveillance users.
• Provide accurate effort estimates for project management.
• Adhere to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Maintain updated and version-controlled specification documentation in SharePoint.

Skills Required

Technical Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience developing with q/KDB in the financial domain.
• Proficiency in using JIRA for issue tracking and managing SCRUM boards.
• Experience applying ML/AI libraries to real-world problems is highly desirable.

Functional Skills:

• A strong understanding of financial markets asset classes (FX, FI, Equities, Rates, Commodities, Credit), various trade types (OTC, exchange traded, Spot, Forward, Swap, Options), and related systems is essential.
• Knowledge of the surveillance domain, regulatory frameworks (MAR, MIFID, CAT, Dodd Frank), and related systems is a significant advantage.
