Junior QA Engineer - Automation

As a Junior QA Automation Engineer at SmartBear in Ahmedabad, you will be an integral part of transforming the QMetry product to meet user needs. You will solve challenging problems and test high-quality applications to ensure excellent user experience. This role requires developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver. Responsibilities include converting product requirements into automated test cases, performing various testing types (functional, regression, smoke), working closely with development teams, debugging automation script issues, and maintaining reusable automation frameworks. You will also prepare test reports, participate in sprint activities using Agile methodologies (JIRA preferred), and continuously improve test coverage.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience with hands-on experience in writing test cases and scenarios, with experience in Agile methodologies. Experience with API-driven development, working with REST and JSON, and using JIRA is preferred. Strong knowledge of testing concepts, defect management, testing processes & testing life cycle, and good communication skills are required. Experience with CI tools like Jenkins and Bamboo is a plus.
