IT Healthcare Applications Administrator - Las Vegas, NV
Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center, a premier healthcare facility in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Healthcare Applications Administrator. This pivotal role is responsible for the comprehensive management, maintenance, and support of our critical clinical and administrative software applications. You will ensure the secure, efficient, and compliant operation of our IT systems through meticulous user access management, timely system updates, proactive troubleshooting, and strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Management: Provide expert support, configuration, and updating for Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other essential clinical/administrative software.
- User Support & Security: Administer user accounts, manage permissions, and implement robust security controls in full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system issues, software bugs, and performance bottlenecks to maintain optimal system functionality.
- Data & Reporting: Extract, transform, and analyze data to develop insightful dashboards and reports for clinical and administrative decision-making.
- System Upgrades: Implement software patches, participate in system upgrades, and contribute to system migration projects.
- Helpdesk Projects: Contribute to assigned Helpdesk-related projects under the guidance of the supervisor.
- Vendor Relations: Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with external vendors and support teams.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with EHR platforms and database technologies.
- Solid understanding of basic networking principles.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Server 2016 & newer.
- Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA and data security standards.
- Demonstrated ability to build performance metrics and dashboards.
- A proven capacity to learn and support new and rapidly evolving technologies.
- Excellent research skills for resolving technical issues.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective phone, desk-side, and email support.
- Familiarity with a wide range of standard office automation products.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, combined with 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to efficiently use a keyboard for data entry and retrieval.
- Good eyesight for computer monitor and phone use.
- Ability to lift/carry 15-30 lbs. or more and push/pull carts as needed.
