Industrial Electrician

Talent Bridge is seeking a skilled Electrician for a client in Cave-in-Rock, IL. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant electrical systems and equipment. Responsibilities include installation, comprehensive maintenance, methodical troubleshooting, and strict adherence to all safety protocols, all contributing directly to overall plant productivity.

Key responsibilities involve installing electrical equipment and components such as conductors, instrumentation, lighting, motors, controls, wiring, relays, transformers, and conduit in compliance with NEC standards. You will troubleshoot electrical issues systematically and perform necessary repairs, as well as conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical and instrumentation installations. The role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematics, and to calibrate and adjust electrical/electronic equipment per manufacturer specifications. Utilizing SAP for documenting work progress and communicating support needs is essential. Additional duties include conducting annual ground resistance testing and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC and compressed air drying equipment. Maintaining a safe work environment, complying with OSHA/MSHA regulations, and responding to off-hour call-outs are also key. You will be responsible for estimating material requirements and requisitioning necessary materials. Promoting a strong culture of safety and adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies is paramount.

Required qualifications include an Associate's degree, Technical School completion, or an Apprenticeship program (or equivalent training/experience). A working knowledge of NEC code, electrical standards, pressure and temperature transmitters, PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, and controls is necessary. A minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in electrical support and maintenance is required, along with the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints. A valid driver's license with an acceptable record and a willingness to travel to other quarry sites are essential. Candidates must be willing to work overtime, including weekends or nights as required, and adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Amrize-approved PPE, such as respirators where necessary.
