Full Stack Developer

As a Full Stack Developer at ABB, you will play a crucial role in delivering successful technology, software, product, and solution development projects. You will be the primary point of contact within Research and Development for product-specific issues and ongoing maintenance, actively identifying and implementing innovative solutions. This exciting opportunity contributes to the Motion Business High Power Division in Bangalore, India, with a hybrid work arrangement in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product owners and business units to gather and understand business requirements and user stories.
• Develop applications adhering to design and architecture specifications.
• Produce high-quality, well-tested code that aligns with established coding standards and product specifications.
• Engage in requirements management, elicitation, software configuration, and change management processes.
• Apply Agile and DevOps methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrate expertise in web and cloud platforms, relevant technologies, and object-oriented programming.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related discipline, with 5-8 years of software development experience.
• Proven experience with REST APIs, Python, and React.js, demonstrated through a minimum of 2-3 completed projects.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, data structures, and database concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Docker containers and Python, including core syntax, scripting, modules, packages, file I/O, and JSON handling.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Requirements Management, Agile Processes, and Configuration & Change Management.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience with micro-service design patterns and container orchestration is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals is beneficial.
