Firmware Engineering Intern

Structavia Consulting Engineers, an internationally recognized firm, is seeking a talented Firmware Engineering Intern to join our team in Oak Brook, IL. This on-site internship offers hands-on experience in developing embedded software for cutting-edge New Product Development and IoT devices. You will collaborate closely with industry experts and cross-functional teams, gaining valuable insights and contributing to impactful projects.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with stakeholders to understand functional requirements of systems to accurately design and implement features.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define and design proposed solutions that meet technical requirements and adhere to application design guidelines, strategies, and best practices.
• Develop unit test cases that accurately test interface functionality and responses to varied inputs both in and out of scope, at all levels of the software stack.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve defects in applications, creating new test cases to capture and verify fixes.
• Manage personal work using Agile methodologies to deliver according to project schedules and be accountable for delivery.
• Determine methods for reporting metrics on TDD test coverage through the continuous integration server.
• Design, develop, and implement application-level and firmware solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
