Qualifications
Experience Level: Senior Level
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Planning, Environmental Planning, Life Sciences, Cultural Resources, Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or another related field
- Minimum of 8 years of environmental planning experience in either transportation or land development projects
- Project Management and technical experience with design/planning projects on U.S. projects
- Ability to think strategically, adapt and innovate in accordance to project requirements and regulations
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative and ownership
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals across teams and disciplines
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
- Must have excellent organizational skills and data integrity/file management/version control experience

This critical role involves leading environmental permitting for complex, large-scale infrastructure projects across North America. Responsibilities include managing tasks, mentoring a talented team, and ensuring the successful delivery of environmental products, all while adhering to stringent regulatory standards like NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and more. Collaborate with diverse teams to develop and implement strategic environmental plans, conduct thorough reviews of project documents to identify risks and scope, and serve as a technical lead from conceptual planning through environmental approvals and permitting. You will also perform quality reviews of environmental deliverables and engineering designs, manage project scopes, schedules, and resources, and foster strong relationships with clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
