Data Modeler

EY is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant Data Modeler to join their dynamic team in Miami/South Florida. This role is crucial for designing and building impactful analytics solutions that deliver significant business value. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure technical requirements perfectly align with business needs. As a Senior Consultant, you'll lead the design and development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), with a core focus on Kimball dimensional modeling. You will engineer star schemas (Fact and Dimension tables) for optimal performance in enterprise analytical, Business Intelligence (BI), and reporting. A key responsibility involves defining and implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), particularly SCD Type 2, to meticulously capture historical data. You will determine appropriate fact table grains and measurable facts, and design highly denormalized dimension structures for simplified querying. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand and translate data requirements into effective data models is essential. Maintaining data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and resolving data model performance issues will be part of your remit. You will also manage and guide a small team (1-3 resources), document designs and standards, and create detailed source-to-target mapping documentation. Staying abreast of industry best practices and guiding the team in implementing advanced data modeling techniques are also core to this position.
