Full Job Description

About The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data/Software Engineer to join our Data Quality team within the Data & Analytics Core Data Lake Platform at P&G. This role offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of data engineering and analytics, leveraging modern Agile and DevOps practices to develop, test, and deploy robust IT systems and applications. You will contribute to the development of digital products and frameworks that enhance data cataloging and discoverability, supporting our global business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, software development, and data quality management.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 8 years of professional experience as a Software or Data Engineer, with extensive hands-on experience in Python, PySpark, and Databricks. Familiarity with open-source libraries and tools for data quality management such as Great Expectations and Deequ. Strong understanding of Data Quality concepts and dimensions, with experience implementing data quality frameworks. Proficiency in modern software engineering practices including code standards, Gitflow, automated testing, CICD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies. Experience working with Cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure, and integrating data solutions within cloud environments.

Responsibilities: Designing, developing, and maintaining data quality libraries and frameworks using Python. Supporting the design, building, and optimization of data pipelines. Implementing and monitoring data quality metrics. Collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and improve data quality processes. Evaluating and integrating open-source data quality libraries into existing systems. Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues. Documenting processes, data models, and system architecture. Engineering applications throughout their lifecycle. Ensuring all development and architecture align with established standards.
