Qualifications
Experience Level: Mid Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
- Oklahoma Adjuster License required (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire); prior claims adjusting experience strongly preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Bodily Injury Claims or Adjuster
- Bilingual Spanish skills a plus; proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard web applications required
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers, attorneys, and law enforcement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with cultural awareness and the ability to clearly convey complex information
- Advanced critical thinking, analytical, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex claims in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Swoon is actively seeking a dedicated Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to join our team in Tulsa, OK. This pivotal role involves comprehensive, end-to-end claims handling, encompassing thorough investigation, expert evaluation, skillful negotiation, and efficient settlement. Our goal is to ensure the fair and timely resolution of all claims, upholding our commitment to our policyholders.
In this position, you will be responsible for interpreting complex insurance policy contracts to accurately determine coverage application for each reported loss. You'll conduct in-depth investigations, collaborating closely with a variety of stakeholders, including policyholders, attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and third-party professionals, to gather all necessary information. Maintaining proactive and professional communication with customers and internal teams is crucial to ensure clarity, responsiveness, and an exceptional client experience. You will negotiate and settle claims in strict compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards, actively working to control costs and identify valuable subrogation opportunities. Accurate and detailed documentation of all claim activities, decisions, and communications is essential to maintain comprehensive and audit-ready claim files. Complex issues will be escalated to leadership as needed, and you'll be expected to stay current on evolving industry regulations and trends, contributing to process improvements and providing cross-team support.
