About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Biw Dimension Engineer with experience in the automotive OEM sector, specifically within BIW Geometry Engineering. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of BIW GD&T, datum definition, locator strategies, and clamping plans. Proficiency in BIW tolerance validation, RSS stack, and 1D/3D stack-ups is essential.
Hands-on experience with CATIA/NX and ENOVIA/Teamcenter is a mandatory requirement. While Unigraphics experience is an added advantage, CATIA proficiency is crucial.
The role also requires extensive experience with weld shop metrology, including checking fixtures and CMM machines. Familiarity with all types of hemming processes and C/Measure is expected. Knowledge of plastic part tolerancing and vehicle on wheels is also necessary.
Candidates should be knowledgeable in the DVA process, including input, process, and output inference. A solid understanding of statistical tools and techniques is required, along with knowledge of fixture design and 2D detailing.
