IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is actively seeking a dedicated full-time BIM Detailer specializing in Data Center projects. This role is crucial for supporting our BIM Modelers on large-scale, mission-critical data center initiatives. You will be instrumental in producing precise shop drawings, ensuring compliance with stringent project standards, and contributing to the overall success of our advanced electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assistance to BIM Modelers, including finishing work in progress on large-scale data center projects.
- Aid in the production of detailed shop drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Annotate and document existing BIM models, specifically for mission-critical and data center environments.
- Collaborate closely with BIM Modelers to develop constructible designs.
- Assist BIM Modelers with clash detection and conflict resolution under the guidance of the BIM department.
- Support the preparation of shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built documentation for field teams.
- Contribute to prefabrication efforts by generating detailed shop drawings for shop fabrication.
- Ensure strict adherence to project standards, client requirements, and IES MC quality guidelines.
- Help maintain BIM project files, including naming conventions and file management, in accordance with IES standards.
- Communicate effectively with BIM Modelers to ensure models accurately reflect real-world installation conditions.
- Offer support to other departmental areas as needed to achieve team goals and project success.
