About the Role

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging AI innovation with robust infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include designing scalable services and critical orchestration layers, ensuring multi-agent Large Language Model (LLM) systems operate reliably across diverse environments including desktop, browser, and mobile.

We prioritize rapid production system deployment while dedicating 15-20% of your time to cutting-edge AI research and experimentation.

What You’ll Do

• Integrate and optimize multi-agent workflows using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or the OpenAI SDK.
• Implement bespoke task-orchestration logic for complex, high-performance automation pipelines.
• Develop production-grade APIs and microservices primarily in Python, TypeScript, Go, or Rust.
• Design, deploy, and maintain robust orchestration infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes or Nomad.
• Build and fine-tune stateful networking layers with technologies like Traefik and Envoy, ensuring high-performance remote connectivity (e.g., VNC/remote-desktop).
• Manage cloud infrastructure on major platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) utilizing Terraform or OpenTofu, and author comprehensive CI/CD pipelines.
• Dedicate significant time (15-20%) to exploring advanced AI topics like LLM fine-tuning, memory architectures, and emerging agent frameworks.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in backend or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, coupled with hands-on experience in at least one of Go or Rust.
• AI Frameworks: Practical experience with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI SDK) and designing multi-agent systems.
• Container Orchestration: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Nomad, or similar container orchestration tools.
• Networking: Expertise in networking fundamentals, load-balancers (Traefik/Envoy), and high-performance remote connections (VNC).
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu), CI/CD pipelines, and major cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Location: Eagerness to work in-person from our Bangalore office within a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
