About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer proficient in Python to design, build, and scale high-performance, consumer-facing applications. This pivotal role involves designing robust APIs, managing complex databases, and deploying scalable systems primarily on AWS. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, ensuring the utmost reliability, performance, and a seamless user experience across high-traffic B2C/D2C platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build high-performance, secure, and reliable server-side applications.
• Develop and manage RESTful APIs for both mobile and web applications.
• Optimize backend systems to ensure peak performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work collaboratively with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to uphold high engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and swiftly resolve production issues.
• Actively participate in architecture discussions and system design initiatives.

Requirements:

• Mandatory: 4+ years of hands-on backend development experience with Python.
• Proven experience with popular backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Database Expertise: Strong command over relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and NoSQL/document databases like MongoDB.
• Extensive experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (including EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3).
• A strong understanding of system design principles, scalability strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Understanding of application security best practices.
• Good to have: Exposure to Golang or Node.js.
• Plus: Familiarity with caching technologies (e.g., Redis), message queues, or event-driven architecture.
