Full Job Description
Join the dynamic team at Mercedes-Benz in Bengaluru as a Backend Developer. We are seeking a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in modern development practices to build scalable, high-performance applications. Your responsibilities will include extensive API development (over 50 APIs), application development, and the creation of robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using AWS services like S3, IAM, RDS, KMS, and EKS. You will also be involved in setting up monitoring dashboards with DataDog, performing unit testing, and creating comprehensive documentation. Key tasks involve implementing GDPR/Deletion concepts for Sirius (Datix Integration) and contributing to secure development practices and security profiles within a Scrum/Agile framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of API development (50+)
- Application Development
- Creation of pipelines (CI/CD) & infrastructure as code (setup of cloud infrastructure), AWS concepts (S3, IAM, RDS, KMS, EKS), & creation of monitoring dashboards (DataDog)
- Unit testing and documentation
- GDPR/Deletion concept for Sirius (Datix Integration)
- Secure development & provide input for security profile
- Worked in Scrum/agile team
Must-have skills:
- JAVA/JEE, Design Patterns, Agile Development, RestAPI, Event Based Architecture, Unit testing & IT Security
- Programming languages: Java/J2EE (Java8 and above)
- Java Frameworks: SpringBoot
- Unit Testing: mockito, junit
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
- Webservices: REST, SOAP, Service Discovery, Circuit breaker
- Proficiency in XML, JASON, YAML
- Container Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
- Message processing and caching mechanism: Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Redis
- Expertise on API design using OpenApi Standard 3.x
- API security: OAuth 1.0/2.0
- Build tools and servers: Maven, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, argoCD, Apache Tomcat/Jboss
- Bachelors Degree (Computer Science) or equivalent
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong customer orientation with a focus on providing solutions
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and a team player
- International exposure through work or study experience
- Experience in customer-facing projects
- Leadership/mentorship ability to guide junior developers
