Backend Developer at A Fintech Company

About the Backend Developer Role:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with backend languages such as Java, Golang, or Ruby on Rails, along with frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot. They should have a strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker), caching tools like Redis, and building scalable SaaS or cloud-based products is also required. A solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, OOP concepts, and system design principles, including domain-driven design and event-driven architectures, is essential. The role involves working with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, or similar) and version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket. Exposure to asynchronous, functional, or reactive programming concepts, preferably in Java, is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate a strong focus on engineering best practices, including code quality, performance optimization, operational excellence, and reusability through frameworks and patterns. They should possess a proactive mindset, the ability to adapt quickly to change, and leverage emerging technologies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills are also important. Experience with DevOps practices and a TechFinOps approach is a plus.
