Full Job Description

Sanimax, a leader in sustainability focused on reclaiming used cooking oil and organic by-products, is seeking an Automation and Controls Specialist to join their engineering team in Green Bay, WI. This role will provide crucial support for CAPEX projects, drive process improvements, and offer essential operational support.

Key responsibilities include supporting electrical maintenance and plant operations during troubleshooting and production issues, analyzing production stoppages to collaborate with process engineers on improvements, and participating in modernization efforts for automation equipment. The specialist will develop troubleshooting guides, train electricians and technicians, optimize PLC and HMI programs with regular backups, and contribute as a programmer on capital projects, assisting in commissioning. Collaboration with process teams for plant process optimization, documenting projects with schematics and functional descriptions, and training operational stakeholders are also vital. The role involves configuring historians for data archiving, creating monitoring pages, and maintaining systems with IT/network specialists.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in industrial electronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, with a deep interest in automation, PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and process control. Hands-on experience with automation, process control, and troubleshooting is essential, along with knowledge of Rockwell automation equipment (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View).
