Assistant Athletic Director

Quinnipiac University, located in Hamden, CT, is seeking a skilled Assistant Athletic Director, Arena Operations. This role is vital for managing the day-to-day functions of the M&T Bank Arena. The ideal candidate will be responsible for game day operations, facility rentals, and overseeing club and intramural usage, excelling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position involves coordinating large-scale events and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing all game-day operations, acting as the primary point of contact for the run-of-show during athletic contests.
• Hiring and managing temporary game day employees.
• Coordinating with the marketing team to fulfill game day requirements.
• Managing the building schedule, ensuring the needs of officials, visiting teams, and other arena users are met.
• Serving as the liaison for arena and scoreboard maintenance with designated vendors.
• Collaborating with Public Safety, the Hamden Police Department, and the Fire Department for M & T Bank events.
• Working with relevant parties on incident reporting at the M & T Bank arena.
• Coordinating with Alumni Affairs & Development for University Club events.
• Scheduling AMR ambulance service for necessary events.
• Supervising facility rental arrangements.
• Managing club and intramural use of the facility.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
