Asset Management Associate

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors, a leader in manufactured housing and RV resorts, is seeking a dedicated Asset Management Associate to join our Southfield, MI team. This crucial role supports the financial and operational excellence of our manufactured housing (MH) and recreational vehicle (RV) asset portfolio. You will engage in detailed financial analysis, performance reporting, and strategic collaboration with various departments to drive asset performance and inform key business decisions. Essential to this position is assisting in the development and review of annual budgets and business plans, collaborating with Operations on occupancy trends and revenue management strategies for optimal pricing, and coordinating with Utility Management on expense performance, conservation efforts, and capital expenditure analysis. You'll also play a key role in portfolio reviews, business updates, and cross-departmental reporting, while helping to build and maintain internal systems for managing critical asset-level data. Responsibilities include consolidating and validating performance metrics, conducting monthly variance analysis, working with Marketing on campaign effectiveness, and undertaking ad hoc analyses. We require a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in asset management, real estate finance, or FP&A. A valid driver's license, strong analytical and Excel modeling skills, familiarity with reporting systems like Adaptive Insights or Yardi, excellent communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit are essential. Exposure to or interest in systems development and data organization tools is a plus. This is a full-time, onsite position in Southfield, MI.
