Applications Developer 2

The Python Junior Developer will support the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications using Python. This role collaborates with senior engineers to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and integrate with APIs and databases, adhering to engineering standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver, eager to learn in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic Python programming principles knowledge
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git)
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to web frameworks such as Flask
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with the python-oracledb module
• Exposure to parallel processing and threading

Responsibilities:

• Assist with writing, testing, and debugging Python code under supervision
• Collaborate with team members on feature development and defect resolution
• Support integrations with REST APIs, databases, and third-party services
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Learn and apply new tools and technologies
• Contribute to team ceremonies (e.g., Agile/Scrum)
