Role Overview: AI Lead Engineer – Agentic Platforms

This high-impact role offers end-to-end ownership in designing and building the foundational architecture for multi-agent AI systems. You will bridge advanced research with practical engineering to integrate agent-based reasoning, orchestration, and automation into our robust enterprise platform. While hands-on coding is essential, you will also influence technical direction and evaluate new frameworks, directly impacting thousands of enterprise users globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: Design and implement core architectures for agentic AI platforms, including multi-agent workflows, orchestration layers, and reasoning pipelines.
• AI Systems Development: Develop, fine-tune, and deploy scalable ML/NLP/LLM-driven services into production environments.
• Data & Infrastructure: Construct and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, training, and real-time serving, ensuring seamless integration of AI services into OrbitShift products.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously refine AI models for accuracy, latency, and enterprise-scale reliability.
• Innovation & Leadership: Stay abreast of emerging AI frameworks, lead design reviews, set technical standards, and mentor junior engineers in AI engineering best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science from a premier institution.
• Experience: 4–6 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, with demonstrated impact in building production-grade systems.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with expertise in designing modular, scalable systems.
  • Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), including fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-agent orchestration.
  • Familiarity with prominent agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, DSPy, AutoGen, Ray).
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud-native deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design, with the ability to make informed architectural trade-offs.
  • (Preferred) Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS), workflow orchestration, and LLMOps practices (monitoring, evaluation, guardrails).
