Qualifications
Experience Level: Senior Level
- Two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional level administrative experience performing analytical duties as a primary job function in the areas of contracts, bid/proposal, or grant management
- Two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional level administrative experience performing analytical duties as the primary job function in the areas of budget/fiscal management, financial analysis and/or accounting
- Three (3) years of full-time professional-level experience directing complex projects with primary responsibility for analyzing, interpreting, and making recommendations to management in a combination of the following areas: Budget/Financial Analysis; Requests for Proposals/Contracts; Analysis and Interpretation of Quantitative Data; Facilities Planning/Property Management; Planning; Grants Management; Organizational Analysis; or Project Management
- One (1) year of full-scope supervisory experience over a support services staff
- A completed bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration, Behavioral/Social Science, or other relevant field of study. Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education

San Bernardino County seeks experienced Administrative Supervisors II to manage and direct administrative operations across various county departments. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, organization, and direct supervision of complex administrative functions, including meticulous budget preparation and comprehensive contract management. Successful candidates will lead special studies, develop insightful reports and recommendations, and oversee the implementation of approved changes. Responsibilities extend to supervising the creation of initial budgets, justifying budgetary recommendations, and actively monitoring financial operations. The role also encompasses overseeing contract and grant applications, as well as Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Duties may additionally include project management for diverse initiatives such as new construction, facility remodels, long-term facility planning, and lease reviews within San Bernardino County.
