- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
- Dialysis experience is required
- Successful completion of the pre-employment color blind test, accommodation may be provided
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible
Full Job Description
DaVita Kidney Care is searching for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our internal travel team in New Haven, CT. This pivotal role involves delivering critical dialysis care to patients in a dynamic hospital environment who are facing end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. You will utilize a broad range of nursing skills to manage patients with multiple co-morbidities, overseeing care with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). This fast-paced position offers the opportunity to specialize in various renal therapies including Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Apheresis. As an integral part of both the hospital and DaVita teams, you'll provide life-saving care in diverse inpatient settings such as the ICU, CCU, and ED. Schedules vary by hospital system, but you can expect to know your weekly schedule in advance, with daily adjustments based on patient needs. This is a full-time, onsite position.
