Accounts Payable Specialist

Samsung Research America (SRA), a leader in cloud computing software and services based in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This role is crucial for processing accounts payable transactions and ensuring the timely and accurate disbursement of vendor payments. The ideal candidate will contribute to the financial health of the organization by maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in all accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices with exceptional accuracy and timeliness, ensuring proper coding and approvals are obtained.
• Review and accurately code foreign currency invoices and their corresponding periods.
• Prepare and execute timely and accurate payments to vendors through various methods, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
• Perform regular reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and vendor statements to maintain data integrity.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, adeptly resolving discrepancies and providing prompt, high-quality service.
• Support month-end closing activities for accounts payable, including the preparation of accruals and reconciliations.
• Assist the broader accounting team with ad-hoc tasks and projects, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive learning attitude.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Proven ability to work independently, effectively manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with internal teams and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in written and spoken Korean.
