2nd SHIFT ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

JBS USA, a leader in the food processing sector, is actively seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Accounting Specialist to join their team in Louisville, KY. This role is crucial for maintaining operational accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include meticulously verifying shipping documentation against sales orders, reconciling livestock production data, and fostering strong interdepartmental relationships. The specialist will ensure the accuracy of pick lists prepared by truck loaders, generate essential shipping documents such as preliminary and final manifests, and Bills of Lading. Effective communication with various departments regarding inbound and outbound loads is vital. A key duty involves comparing product weights to scaled truck weights to confirm they fall within expected ranges and diligently tracking truck seals. The position also requires preparing export documentation and cultivating positive working relationships with the USDA and the Shipping Department. Daily reconciliation of livestock production and hog costs, along with processing daily payments to producers, are core functions. Additionally, the specialist will monitor capital projects by following up on invoices, collaborating with project managers for updates, and maintaining an active spreadsheet of ongoing projects. Flexibility is expected, as daily and weekend work (Saturdays and Sundays) may be required, along with performing other assigned duties.
