Web/Front-End Developer

About the Job:
Abbott is seeking a Web/Front-End Developer to join their team in Orlando, FL. This role involves developing solutions for a Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud platform supporting users in over 50 countries. The developer will be part of an Agile team working with modern technologies, including React.js, HTML5, CSS, and TypeScript. The core platform processes billions of tasks daily, requiring scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Build reusable components and front-end libraries.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Optimize components for performance across various devices and browsers.
• Develop new user-facing features using React.js.
• Collaborate with partners to integrate with APIs.
• Design and implement maintainable, testable code.
• Collaborate with InfoSec teams for secure solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and external team members to shape and define API contracts.
• Ensure performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining code quality.
• Contribute to architectural and operational decisions.
• Create diagrams and workflow models.
• Collaborate in an Agile team.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of web standards and best practices.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with design systems and Figma design tokens.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multilanguage support and headless content management systems.
• Understanding of Docker Containers and container orchestration services.
• Experience with open-source software development.

Salary: $85300.00 - $170700.00. Pay range may vary.
