Responsibilities:
- Shape the design and architecture of Wayfair systems as part of our Cloud Enablement journey, collaborating with development teams to design scalable and reliable systems.
- Work on diverse technologies - system implementations, in-house software/tools, and application systems that provide acceleration as a service.
- Architect and implement robust, well-tested services. Provide technical design and code reviews.
- Develop and maintain automation tools and frameworks for deployment, configuration, and management of software systems, reducing human error.
- Offer insights into platform enhancements, influencing priorities and roadmaps alongside Engineering and Product leadership.
- Mentor engineers, fostering their growth and promoting engineering best practices.
- Champion a culture of engineering excellence, improving the technical capabilities of engineers.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience designing systems at scale.
- Experience working with a Platform team, building automation and solutions for Devops.
- Experience in the development of new applications using Java, Python, C#, and SQL.
- Experience with Cloud Native architecture in GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI/CD) practices and tools.
- Experience leveraging monitoring and logging technologies.
- Proven track record of hands-on development.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading code reviews, skilled in troubleshooting.
