Sr. Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer at 6sense in Bangalore, you will join a dynamic team building scalable and fault-tolerant backend systems. This high-impact role focuses on platform scalability, performance optimization, and system reliability for a global customer base. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, working with cutting-edge technologies to solve complex challenges and deliver seamless customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Developer Platform: Work on the developer platform and components, owning the Developer Experience.
• Build Scalable Systems: Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices capable of seamless scaling based on load.
• Optimize Performance: Enhance system reliability and ensure low-latency, high-availability services by leveraging Redis and other caching solutions.
• Cloud and Infrastructure: Collaborate with DevOps to implement best practices in CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure.
• Contribute to Architecture: Participate in decisions about system architecture, tool adoption, and technology innovation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience, focusing on scalable systems.
• Experience in working with Java or Python and their ecosystems.
• Hands-on expertise with Redis, MySQL, and AWS.
• Proficiency in backend frameworks such as Python Django/FastAPI, or Java Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving ability, system design skills, and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• A growth mindset with a passion for learning new technologies.
• Experience working on building Developer tooling or as part of Platform Engineering.
• Experience working on developing Platforms for Testing.
