Software Engineer I (L2)

Teachable is seeking a Software Engineer I with full-stack experience for its growth team in New York City. This role involves writing, testing, and deploying code across the stack, breaking down epics, and participating in team sprint rituals. The engineer will contribute to retention, monetization, and revenue growth initiatives. The team operates with an Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and Product Designer in a pod structure. Responsibilities include writing secure and efficient code, developing scalable code, identifying areas for improvement, utilizing testing techniques, and communicating effectively with team members. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of full-stack experience, proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, or any backend languages, and proficiency in JavaScript, React, and CSS. Experience with growth engineering is a plus. This hybrid role requires 1-2 days in the NYC office and offers a base salary range of $72,000 to $90,000.
