Software Engineer

Ecolab is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Record to Report technology support team in Bengaluru / Bangalore. This role involves enhancing, maintaining, and supporting business application platforms. The Software Engineer will apply engineering and programming best practices to deliver and enhance software solutions that meet business needs, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting those solutions. The role requires collaboration with digital technology peers, business associates, and vendor support teams. This is a chance to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical design, support, and development for various business application platforms supporting Ecolab GBS business areas globally
• Analyze issues, optimize system performance, and ensure the availability and security of critical business platforms
• Offer operational support for various business applications
• Collaborate with technology peers and third-party vendor support teams to resolve issues and meet business needs
• Participate in periodic maintenance, patching, disaster recovery, and upgrades
• Resolve support issues within agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience supporting global IT technology solutions, including installation, upgrades, coding, and administration
• Experience with Oracle Hyperion EPM or similar financial reporting solutions
• Experience with system integrations and ETL solutions
• Experience with applications running on Windows/UNIX Operating Systems
• Experience with application and server monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, Elastic, AppDynamics)
• Knowledge of security, database objects, hardware, networks, and cloud & virtualization concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with scripting technologies such as PowerShell and Python
• Familiarity with automation/scheduling software like UC4/Automic Automation/Workiva
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, specifically Power BI and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate)
• Demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and technical problem-solving abilities
• A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt to changing technologies and requirements
• Experience with ServiceNow
