Software Engineer - Backend | Mumbai | Ruby on Rails | 4-5 Years

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with 4-5 years of experience in building scalable web applications for an AI-powered sports tech company transforming how recreational athletes play and connect in Mumbai, India. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports and enjoys solving complex problems with elegant, maintainable code.

Responsibilities:

• Build scalable web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Design, optimize, and ensure query performance for PostgreSQL databases.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS (ECS, RDS, S3).
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi for cloud resource management.
• Design RESTful APIs and understand microservices architecture.
• Manage background job processing with ActiveJob or similar.
• Utilize unit testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest).

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience building scalable web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and query performance.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (ECS, RDS, S3).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi for cloud resource management.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of background job processing with ActiveJob or similar.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest).
