Software Backend Engineer

Omnissa is seeking a talented Software Backend Engineer specializing in Java to join a team passionate about building high-quality software solutions that enable customers to optimize and securely manage access to their applications. Our mission is to simplify and secure application delivery across diverse environments, utilizing automation, best practices in software engineering, and continuous improvement. We aim to provide secure, simplified, and seamless access to enterprise applications and resources from any device, anywhere, while maintaining high security and performance. This role involves contributing to the design, development, and optimization of the Omnissa product, which is crucial for streamlining secure remote access across all cloud platforms. The product offers robust security features, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO).

The ideal candidate will have experience designing enterprise-grade software systems with a strong background in cloud-based architecture, security protocols, and access management. You will be part of the Omnissa Connect team, focusing on developing an independent admin platform that centralizes identity and role assignment flows across our portfolio. We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in architecting and designing enterprise software in Java, possessing a deep understanding of Microservices, Java programming, and software architecture. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, reliable, and scalable software systems.

We are looking for candidates with 2 to 4 years of experience for an MTS-II role, demonstrating strength in coding, problem-solving, data structures, algorithms, and good knowledge of High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD). Key requirements include experience in Java Backend Engineering with a focus on Microservices and APIs, experience with large-scale systems, designing and implementing REST APIs, and writing and deploying containerized Java applications. Experience deploying and monitoring services in AWS is also essential. You will be expected to write highly maintainable, performant code, design and implement highly usable REST APIs adhering to standards and best practices, maintain a high degree of ownership and transparency, participate in component-level architectural design and code reviews, and automate unit and integration tests within a CI/CD pipeline.
