Job Description
Join the Intuit Reporting Team as a Senior Staff Software Engineer to influence and play a key role in accelerating Intuit's platform journey. This role involves continuous assessment, optimization, and alignment with business strategy to provide insights that drive prioritization and transformation.
This role focuses on building technology solutions for Intuit Strategy to Execution, collaborating with business stakeholders and internal teams to ensure solution designs conform to regulatory demands, architectural standards, business requirements, and tech strategy, enabling Intuit's strategic goals and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver significant technology initiatives end-to-end and across multiple architecture layers.
- Lead an engineering team (10-35 engineers) building and supporting customer-facing products.
- Hands-on coding (70-80%).
- Design and implement durable software solutions.
- Ship high-quality products from conception to delivery.
- Influence experience and workflow designs with Product Managers and Experience Designers.
- Implement highly available, scalable, and secure web services.
- Partner with internal and external groups for cross-functional design and integration.
- Stay abreast of mobile/SaaS/PaaS trends and best practices.
- Provide innovations that fuel Intuit's growth.
- Coach and mentor other engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of technology architecture and product engineering experience, with at least 3 years in SaaS and Public Cloud.
- 5+ years of experience in developing distributed, scalable API-based and event-driven systems.
- Strong OOD and SOA principles (Java/J2EE).
- Experience with microservices and container technologies like Kubernetes.
- Experience building and deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS desired).
- Solid design and coding skills (Node, Java, Spring, Maven/Gradle, REST, GraphQL, JSON, messaging technologies - Kafka, Pulsar, ActiveMQ).
- Experience with UI frameworks like React, Backbone, and Angular is desirable.
- Experience with test automation (TDD, unit/integration/functional testing, and CI/CD).
- Strong experience with Database design (SQL, NoSQL).
- Knowledge of data analytics/BI is a plus.
- Certifications in Solution/Enterprise Architecture are desirable.
- Experience in capability-based planning to execution.
- Excellent communication skills with C-level stakeholder management.
- Collaboration with architects, business, and product teams.
