Senior Staff Software Engineer

Join the Intuit Reporting Team as a Senior Staff Software Engineer to influence and play a critical role in accelerating Intuit's platform journey. This role involves continuous assessment, evolution, and optimization of capabilities to align with business strategy, drive prioritization and transformation, and provide visibility to business outcomes. You will be building technology solutions for Intuit Strategy to Execution. You will work with stakeholders, ensure solution design compliance, and enable Intuit to deliver on its strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver significant technology initiatives end-to-end and across multiple layers of architecture.
• Lead an engineering team (10-35 engineers).
• Hands-on coding (70-80%).
• Design and implement software solutions.
• Ship high-quality products and features.
• Influence experience and workflow designs.
• Implement highly available, scalable, and secure web services.
• Partner with other groups.
• Stay abreast of trends and standards.
• Provide/inspire innovations.
• Coach and mentor other engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or relevant degree.
• Technology Architecture and product engineering expertise (10+ years, 3+ in SaaS, Public Cloud).
• 5+ years in developing complex, distributed, scalable API-based and event-driven systems.
• Strong OOD and SOA principles.
• Experience with microservices and container technologies (Kubernetes, Mesos).
• Experience building and deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS desired).
• Solid design and coding skills (Node, Java, Spring, REST, GraphQL, JSON).
• Experience in UI frameworks (React, Backbone, Angular) is desirable.
• Experience with test automation.
• Strong experience with Database design (SQL, NoSQL).
• Knowledge of data analytics/BI is a plus.
• One or more certifications in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture (e. g. Well-Architected Frameworks, SAFe Architect, TOGAF) are desirable.
• Experience in capability-based planning to execution.
• Excellent communication skills.
