Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Chubb is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Hyderabad. This is a full-time position within the Technology department. The role reports to Suraj Sharma.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative and efficient solutions using Agile engineering practices to enhance customer experience.
• Link the architectural vision with business goals, focusing on business value.
• Identify and communicate issues/risks to stakeholders.
• Refine and maintain the product backlog with the Product Owner.
• Deep dive into technical solutions with Tech Leads and Squads.
• Build solutions adhering to best-in-class integration standards.
• Comply with coding guidelines and conduct code reviews.
• Continuously upgrade skills and expertise.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, NodeJS, Typescript, Angular, and other JavaScript technologies.
• Experience with native mobile applications and cross-platform technologies (React Native/Flutter).
• Experience with SQL Server, including database design and performance optimization.
• Experience developing REST APIs using Microservice architecture and Open API Specification.
• Experience with containerization using Docker & Kubernetes.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of non-functional considerations for complex, distributed environments.
• Experience with secure SDLC, application security, and compliance.
• Experience in the insurance/financial services sector is a plus.
• Experience building workflows using any BPM tool.
• Experience working with eBao or any other Policy Admin Systems.
• A passion for new technologies and experimentation.
