Senior Software Engineer - JavaScript

As a Senior JavaScript Software Engineer at Ciklum in Chennai, join a cross-functional team to engineer experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in requirements analysis.
• Collaborate with US and Vendor teams on software design and architecture.
• Write clean, scalable code using Angular with Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Test and deploy applications and systems.
• Revise, update, refactor, and debug code.
• Develop, support, and maintain applications and technology solutions.
• Ensure development efforts meet or exceed client expectations, adhering to standards.
• Become familiar with development tools, testing tools, methodologies, and processes.
• Become familiar with project management methodology and processes.
• Encourage collaboration with on-shore and off-shore team members.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of industry standards in software development and version control.
• Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
• Work on agile projects, participate in daily SCRUM calls, and provide task updates.
• Work a staggered shift (2 pm-11 pm) during design and key development phases for US team overlap.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of JavaScript (ES6/ES2015+), HTML5 CSS3 experience.
• 2+ years of Typescript experience.
• 2+ years of Angular 11+ component architecture and design patterns experience.
• Experience with Angular 11+ and migrating to newer versions.
• Experience with Angular State management or NgX.
• Experience with RxJS operators.
• Hands-on experience with Kendo UI/Angular Material/SpreadJS, Jest/Jasmine, Cypress, Webdriver IO, HTML5 CSS3 (SASS), NPM/Yarn, Git, Websockets (SignalR), Applying Design Patterns, Azure DevOps, Agile.
• Experience with Nx - Nrwl/Nx library for monorepos.
• Skill in writing reusable components, Angular services, directives, and pipes.
• Comfortable with Git and Git hooks using PowerShell, Terminal, or a variation thereof.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, ability to communicate clearly with US counterparts.

Desirable:

• Exposure to micro-frontend architecture.
• Knowledge of Yarn, Webpack, Azure Devops Build/Release configuration.
• SignalR, ASP. NET Core and WebSockets.
• Training provided to qualified candidates.
• Willingness to work extra hours.
• Exposure to Application Insights and Adobe Analytics.
• Exposure to Docker and its configurations.
