Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking versatile and energetic Senior Software Engineers to join our global team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team, designing, building, and testing software products. You will contribute to shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
• Implement scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Implement robust security and data protection measures.
• Work with data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Be hands-on with software development and technical issues.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or more than 3 years of experience with an advanced degree, and 5+ years of software industry experience. Proficiency in Java/J2EE, frameworks like Spring and Hibernate, and experience with SQL and/or PL/SQL are required. Experience with microservices, containerization, CI/CD, UI/Web development (JavaScript, Angular/React), Web Services (SOAP/REST, JSON, XML), GIT/Stash, Maven, and Agile/Scrum is preferred. A Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

This is a hybrid position with employees expected to work in the office 2-3 days a week. Visa is an EEO employer.
