Senior Fullstack Engineer - Job Overview
Accelon is seeking a talented Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a high-impact migration project modernizing our legacy platform. This role focuses on migrating the legacy UI to Spring Boot microservices, hosting UI pages on AWS, and improving code refactoring, upgrades, security, resilience, monitoring, and other operational enhancements.
You will navigate minimal documentation and limited subject matter expertise, diving deep into the code to solve problems. Your contributions will directly improve efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and optimize infrastructure costs.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain highly available, resilient, and secure production systems on AWS Cloud.
- Migrate legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture.
- Upgrade legacy Java applications to Springboot applications.
- Test, document, and quality proof your work.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot issues to identify root cause and resolution.
- Support production deployments, operations, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor metrics and identify ways to improve logging, reporting, and alerting.
- Follow agile principles and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, support, and security teams.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Java, Spring/SpringBoot (including Java 8 and Spring 3).
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Javascript and related frameworks (including Backbone.js/Marionette.js, JQuery).
- Experience with CI/CD practices, build and deployment technologies (Maven, Jenkins, Docker).
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Experience working with AWS Cloud infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Elastic Search).
- Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
