Senior Fullstack Engineer

We seek a curious and driven Senior Fullstack Engineer (SDE 2) to tackle significant challenges at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Manage products within the SciSpace suite.
• Collaborate with product owners to design software.
• Translate real-world scenarios into functional code for the SciSpace platform.
• Test and continuously improve development practices.
• Make informed technology decisions.
• Manage large projects from conceptualization to deployment.
• Develop tools and libraries for reliable and performant services.
• Collaborate on a resilient architecture that adapts to changing product needs.
• Focus on the user interface to deliver an excellent user experience.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Fullstack Engineer for a research-focused, product-based startup.
• Proficiency in a high-level language (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Strong front-end skills (HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
• Understanding of SQL and database design.
• Solid testing fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience managing and executing technology products.

Bonus:

• Experience with high-volume, always-available web applications.
• Experience with ElasticSearch.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Experience working at a startup is a plus.
