As a Senior Front End Engineer, you'll build user interfaces that are intuitive, responsive, and visually engaging to streamline complex data workflows. Your focus will be on dashboards and workflows that manage and reconcile transactions from Toast platforms (sales data, payroll, vendor payments, and other financial touchpoints). Your work will directly influence how restaurant operators interact with our financial ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain front-end components and features using React.js and GraphQL.
Collaborate with designers and product managers.
Implement responsive design for all devices.
Write clean, maintainable code.
Conduct code reviews and mentor peers.
Troubleshoot, debug, and ensure optimal performance.
Partner with back-end engineers to integrate APIs.
Contribute to scalable architectures.
Prototype solutions using modern web technologies.
Participate in user interviews.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of front-end development experience.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React.js, and GraphQL.
Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience with RESTful APIs.
Proficiency with Git version control.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
Growth mindset.

Nice to Haves:

Experience in early-stage technology startups.
Knowledge of front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel, Gulp).
Familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
