As a Software Test Engineer at Takeda, you will play a crucial role in deploying and enhancing our innovative solutions. Leveraging your expertise in testing, test automation, and DevSecOps methodologies, you will collaborate closely with a diverse team including testers, developers, engineers, analysts, scrum masters, and delivery managers. Your contributions will ensure the quality and efficiency of our software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze user stories and their acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and testability.
• Proactively identify potential operational issues, assess associated risks, and contribute to their resolution before software completion.
• Contribute to the development and review of comprehensive test plans and detailed test reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end-to-end use cases and ensure adherence to cross-functional requirements.
• Design and develop robust test approaches, scenarios, cases, and automated test scripts for new and modified software.
• Execute various testing methodologies, including manual, automated, and exploratory testing.
• Conduct thorough testing of new and updated software products to verify compliance with all specifications and requirements, and meticulously evaluate the results.
• Generate high-quality, detailed defect reports for any issues identified during testing.
• Provide constructive feedback on usability and functionality to team members and stakeholders, and deliver clear, understandable test reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software testing within agile project environments, with a strong emphasis on test automation.
• Proven experience in test design and establishing effective test approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in testing web services.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases.
• Good experience in cloud-based testing environments.
• A keen interest in emerging trends and best practices in testing and test automation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop effective solutions to complex problems.
• Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English communication.
• A collaborative team player with a capacity for innovative thinking.
