QA Engineer - Database & Manual Testing (Contractual)

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer specializing in Database and Manual Testing for our AdTech team, on a direct contract basis. This role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of our advertising platforms.

Responsibilities:

Database Testing: Design and execute test cases for database integrity, data validation, and consistency. Perform SQL queries to validate data in advertising data pipelines. Verify ETL processes and data transformations. Test stored procedures and collaborate with developers. Report data-related defects.

MySQL Testing: Focus on MySQL database testing, including performance, scalability, and replication. Validate data migration and backup. Monitor MySQL logs. Experience with database sharding is a plus.

Manual Testing: Develop and maintain test plans based on product requirements. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Document defects. Collaborate with teams and participate in meetings. Ensure cross-browser compatibility.

General QA: Contribute to process improvement. Provide status updates. Identify and communicate risks. Mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of QA experience, with database and manual testing focus.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with MySQL testing.
• Understanding of database concepts.
• Experience with test case design.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies.
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
