Job Title: Perl Developer

Experience: 5-8 Years

Work Model: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Application code conversion for compatibility between Sybase and MS SQL Server.
• Develop and maintain Perl code for backend systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
• Convert existing code to Python where feasible, supporting the team’s long-term sustainability goals.
• Create compatible database scripts using T-SQL / SQL Server.
• Utilize ADO and Git for source control and release management throughout the development cycle.
• Support monitoring and alerting processes as needed.
• Contribute to automation initiatives to enhance development efficiency.

Required Skills:

• Strong Perl development skills.
• Good knowledge of Python, T-SQL, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with ADO, Git, and release management practices.
• Understanding of monitoring, alerting, and automation tools (nice to have).

Day-to-Day Expectation:

• Perform application code conversion between Sybase and MS SQL environments.
• Write or refactor Perl code to ensure compatibility; convert parts to Python where possible.
• Ensure efficient, maintainable, and compatible code delivery aligned with modernization efforts.
