Job Description
Job Summary: The Manager, Development will lead the strategic direction and roadmap for SCPAY, aligning with business and ITO strategies. Responsibilities include leveraging industry trends, supporting cash management operations, and collaborating with various teams to deliver product programs, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality results. The role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end technology deliveries for key business product areas.
- Develop/enhance core product capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Support operational improvements.
- Build payments platform aligned with technology trends.
- Employee engagement and talent retention.
- Lead by example and build appropriate culture.
- Bridge skill/capability gaps through learning and development.
- Manage risk and ensure business continuity.
- Promote compliance with internal control functions.
Key Stakeholders: Solution Architect, Programme Managers, Group Payments Product Development Heads, and Group Cash Operations.
Qualifications: Minimum 12 years of experience in a Dev role, with a couple of years as a Dev lead preferred, with good knowledge of Java, Microservices and Spring boot. Technical Knowledge in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka Streams, REST, JSON, Netflix Micro Services suite, 12 Factor Apps, Oracle, PostgresSQL, Cassandra & ELK. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required to manage senior stakeholders. Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools desired.
Role Specific Technical Competencies: Java / Spring Boot, Kafka Streams, REST, JSON, Design Principles, Hazelcast & ELK, Oracle & Postgres.
