Junior Devops Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to own the cloud infrastructure of Leap. This role involves driving infrastructure upgrades, handling scale, and quickly resolving outages.

The charter will include:

• Ensuring zero-time deployments.
• Auto-scaling the infrastructure during high traffic periods.
• Identifying and resolving infrastructure-related issues in production.
• Supporting development teams during development cycles and resolving environment-related issues.
• Owning the alerting and monitoring infrastructure.
• Staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.

Ideal persona would have:

• 1.5 - 3 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with AWS services, specifically EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, and VPC.
• A strong understanding of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Solid scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation purposes.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Nginx as a reverse proxy, load balancer, and web server.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience managing and optimizing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elastic Search, and Redis Cache datastores.
• A strong understanding of version control using Git and familiarity with best practices for code management.
