Infrastructure Ops Engineering Consultant-Devops, Python Scripting

Optum is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer for our Server Migrations Team. The role involves designing and implementing automation solutions for large-scale server and data center migrations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions to modern infrastructure environments, including cloud platforms like Azure and GCP.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation pipelines for server and infrastructure migrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration strategies.
• Execute end-to-end migration plans with minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Build and manage APIs and automation scripts using Python.
• Support cloud migration initiatives and infrastructure provisioning.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain documentation and provide knowledge transfer.
• Comply with company policies and directives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with server migration experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with OpenShift or other container orchestration platforms.
• Solid proficiency in Python scripting and API development.
• Proficient with GitHub for version control.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
• Experience with PowerShell or Shell scripting.
• Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
